Rajadamnern Champions: Boys from Chuwattana. In the heart of a poor neighborhood in Bangkok some of the best Muay Thai champions train. The boys from Chuwattana gym or Kay Muay Chuwattana. Most of them are Rajadamnern champions, WBC or WMC champions. The ring is blessed by the monks and women are not allowed in it. A courtyard, a ring, a kitchen, two rooms upstairs where in each one ten people sleep together. Jomthorn Chuwattana, Lamsonkhran Chuwattana or Singmanee Sor Srisompong make a hundred thousand or fifty thousand baht a fight. The gym takes half of it. The rest they send to their family in Isarn province, The North East Thailand poorest region where most of Muay Thai fighters come from.
